Design Idea

Our proposals for the Elizabeth House site aim to create buildings of outstanding architectural quality that achieve three objectives:

  • fitting into the townscape of the South Bank
  • giving Waterloo station a new face
  • creating a series of public spaces that reconnect previously disparate areas at the heart of Waterloo

The plans take the form of two new buildings, separated by a large public square which forms part of 10,000 square metres of new public realm running the length of the site.

We’re planning to create a total of 132,100 square metres of development – including 85,700 square metres of new commercial floorspace, and 142 residential units.

We’re committed to environmental sustainability, meeting the requirements for BREEAM Offices 2008 ‘Excellent’ and Code for Sustainable Homes 2010 Level 4.
